A swimming pool with many people having funLozswim, a Royal Life Saving Endorsed Swim School, recently celebrated its move to a new permanent home. The swim school was previously based at Claremont Pool over the past five years, but needed a new location.

Lozswim is now based at Dalkeith Primary School providing Infant Aquatics, Swim and Survive lessons for pre-schoolers and school aged children, squads and a Junior Lifeguard Club program.Swim instructors with a Walter the Watch Dog mascot by the swimming pool

The swim school recently held an open day to celebrate its new home, with attending families able to enjoy a full family fun day with inflatables for kids, a sausage sizzle, games, prizes, a visit from Walter The Watchdog and a whole lot more. Instructors also conducted free swim assessments on children to assist their parents in knowing their child’s skill level and correct swimming stage.

Owner Lauren Kirwan says the school will help local children improve their swimming ability by providing confidence, correcting strokes and developing invaluable water safety skills for life. “Our dreams have come true. We’ve finally found a home to grow and can’t wait for everyone to experience the difference with Lozswim.”

As we head into the summer holidays Royal Life Saving is encouraging all parents to get in touch with their local swim school and enrol their child to learn this vital skill for life. Lozswim is offering intensive summer holiday lessons. Find out more at the link below.
