Autism Association equipped to cope with emergencies

A day’s first-aid training at Royal Life Saving WA was hugely beneficial to the team from Autism Association WA. Every month, this charitable organisation sends a group of employees to our Mount Claremont training rooms to learn first aid and update their lifesaving skills.

According to the participants, team training is a wonderful opportunity to refresh first-aid skills with colleagues.

“We enjoyed the training, and found it entertaining, informative and beneficial. Our instructor was very professional, knowledgeable and good at keeping people on task."

First aid is particularly important to employees from Autism Association, as they work with children. Instructor Marlis said it was fantastic to see team members participating so enthusiastically. “It means that if there’s an emergency at work, everyone knows what to do, and can help out.”

First-aid training with colleagues is also a great team-building exercise, according to the participants, as they get to know staff members from other departments or locations.

Our first-aid training will teach your team to:

  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines
  • Recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies
  • Provide a first-aid response to a casualty in a range of situations

Our first-aid training days take place at our convenient training rooms or at your office, and can be specifically tailored to suit your workplace.
