First aid services to V8 fans

11 May 2016
Royal Life Saving Society WA provided first aid services at the Barbagallo Raceway last weekend, for the V8 Supercars Supersprint Perth 2016.

Our team was contracted by Medic One to supply 8 first aid officers and first aid equipment to service patrons attending the event, which was the opening for the V8 season, and was strongly attended by racing fans.  It all ran very smoothly thanks to a combined effort from Medic One, Medical Air, Surf Life Saving and Royal Life Saving Society WA.

Our first aid officers worked alongside student paramedics, who were placed at each first aid post to gain vital experience for their future career.

Only a few minor treatments were carried out across the three days, giving first aid officers an opportunity to view some racing from their 3 first aid posts; at turn 3 on the hill, at turn 7 (Brownes Chill Fastbrake Corner) and behind the main spectator stand in the pits.

Royal Life Saving Society WA has a team of first aid officers available to attend events both large and small, so we’d love for you to contact us about any future events you have planned.
