Fun for all at Armadale

1 February 2016

Sunday's rainy weather didn't keep families away from the Armadale Funday at Armadale Aquatic Centre, one of our endorsed swim schools.

The open day showcased the fantastic services and facilities available at Armadale, as well as featuring bouncy castles, inflatables, a sausage sizzle, mascots, and visits from the St John Ambulance Service and local police.

The Royal Life Saving Society WA was invited along to promote the services we provide in water safety education, with a special focus on the importance of swimming lessons for the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) community.

The region around Armadale has been shown to be a high risk population for drowning, so we're planning to expand our CaLD swimming programs for women and children in this area later this year.  We look forward to continuing our work with Armadale Aquatic Centre to see this become a reality in the coming months.
