Going Quackers at Fast Eddys for Ice Age Live

28 April 2016

Royal Saving Society WA volunteers spent some time shaking Quackers fundraising ducks at Fast Eddys last weekend, as families gathered in the city for Ice Age Live at the Perth Arena.

Fast Eddys, through owner Eric Brain and Sonya Alfred, have been fantastic supporters of Royal Life Saving for more than two years, hosting a Quackers money box on their countertop and implementing a "fee for the loo" policy, whereby those who want to use their toilet after hours are asked to make a donation into the Quackers duck for the privilege.

As part of their support Fast Eddys also offer us the ability to fundraise outside their cafe during any Disney shows that feature at the nearby Perth Arena.  This enables us  to spread the drowning prevention message to families attending these events, and raise much needed funds for our drowning prevention initiatives.

Over the past two years Fast Eddys have helped us raise more than $3100, and their support is very much appreciate.

Thanks also must go to volunteers Jennie Guinto and Christian Storey who gave their time to assist us by shaking a Quackers at the weekend.

We plan to return to Fast Eddys during the next Disney on Ice show so keep an eye out for us and please pop a donation in Quackers!
