Jacqui Forbes awarded for outstanding service

13 September 2019

During a recent visit to Perth, staff celebrated our Pilbara Development Officer Jacqui Forbes for 10 years of outstanding service to the Aquatic Recreation Industry. A morning tea was held on Wednesday, where Royal Life Saving WA CEO Peter Leaversuch took the opportunity to present Jacqui with her LIWA Service Award.

Jacqui has had a long and exciting career with Royal Life Saving, having started out in 2009 as a Lifeguard at Fremantle Aquatic Centre. She quickly moved on to become the Pool Manager at two of our remote pools, in Burringurrah and Yandeyarra, also filling the roles of Pool Lifeguard and Swim Instructor! In her current role, Jacqui aims to increase the delivery of swimming and water safety services across the Pilbara region.

Jacqui has been a valuable member of every community she has worked in and her passion for water safety is palpable. Not only has she increased the delivery of vital water safety programs to the Pilbara region, she has also work alongside communities to provide a range of employment programs and social events.

Royal Life Saving WA is incredibly thankful for Jacqui’s hard work and dedication over the last 10 years, and for everything she makes possible in the Pilbara region.
