New website to create more user friendly experience

20 January 2016
The Royal Life Saving Society WA has launched a brand new website, to make it easier for members of the community to access vital water safety and drowning prevention programs and information.

The new website, part funded by Lotterywest, and built using Sitecore® software, has been launched today. The Sitecore® Experience Platform™ provides a new personalised, engaging and responsive means of accessing information and interacting with Royal Life Saving Society WA’s programs and services.

"We wanted to maximise the impact of our website and internet presence to enable the Western Australian public, our members and volunteers to access relevant information. The website is focused on delivering relevant lifesaving information to the WA community." says Ian Brown, General Manager - Operations.

Sitecore replaces a legacy content management system that was difficult to navigate and no longer keeping up with the demands of a more web-savvy audience.

The site has been developed by Diversus, who were engaged to refresh the design, ensuring it was mobile friendly, easy to maintain and “human centric” making it easier for the community to access information. Diversus Director Dien Tang says "We’re proud to be partners for such an exciting program for the Royal Life Saving Society WA. By working collaboratively, we have enabled Royal Life Saving to take a large step up in their digital journey. The benefits are immense in terms of productivity efficiencies but more importantly through the engagement of the community with an intuitive and personalised digital experience. This contributes to preventing loss of life and injuries through the promotion of safe participation in water related activities."

The new site is more focused on providing easy to access interactive content, including videos, how-to information, news and interviews with those who are involved in or have been impacted by Royal Life Saving Society WA’s drowning prevention programs and strategies.
