Swim Thru Perth a success

For the second year in a row, Royal Life Saving WA proudly sponsored Swim Thru Perth on the Swan River.

Taking place at Matilda Bay, this fantastic event caters for all swimmers, with options to ‘try’ the event and swim 250m, or take part in 1.25km, 2.5km and 5km swims.

To promote our Respect the River campaign, we provided a branded inflatable lifejacket as a raffle prize, encouraging participants to always wear a lifejacket when out on the water. All participants in the 250m ‘Try It’ event received Respect the River brochures, sunscreens and stickers, too.

With Australian rivers claiming more than 1,000 lives due to drowning in the past 15 years, being safe around inland waterways is so important. To find out more about our Respect the River program, click here:
