Working together to tackle suicide

5 March 2019

Royal Life Saving WA's Don't Drink and Drown team is gearing up to once again take part in the Tackling Suicide Celebrity & Community Charity Football Match this Saturday the 9th March 2019.

Some of the celebrities putting on their footy boots this year include Troy Cook, Ryan Crowley, Byron Schammer, Daniel Kerr, Drew Banfield, Drew Petrie, Adrian Barich, David Wulf and many more, while special guest Dipper will be the boundary rider on the day! There will also be a curtain raiser before the main match with the Perth Demons taking on Swan Districts at 3.30pm.

Royal Life Saving WA will be there to promote our Don’t Drink and Drown program and keep the players hydrated! All the water runners will be sporting our logo, caps and using Don’t Drink and Drown water bottles for both the WAFL and Celebrity match. Come along and enjoy a great event for a great cause!

The Celebrity match kicks off at 6pm at Lathlain Park, with all proceeds from the event going towards funding Mental Health Education programs for schools and sporting clubs in the Perth community, which will be provided by Outside The Locker Room and Lifeline WA.

Tickets are $5 at the gate for adults, and a gold coin donation for under 16s, with gates open at 3:30pm. There will be bar facilities, food tents and kids’ activities all afternoon and evening so round up the family, pack your picnic rug, bring your footy and be a part of what promises to be a special day!
