2019 Small Training Provider of the Year Finalist
Royal Life Saving WA is excited to have been awarded as a finalist in the Small Training Provider of the Year category at the 2019 WA Training Awards last week.
The awards, hosted by the Department of Training and Workforce Development, recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals and organisations within the state’s training sector. Royal Life Saving WA was one of 17 applicants into the Small Training Provider of the Year category, one of five categories for organisations.
We were asked to demonstrate leading practice in vocational education and training, their strategic planning processes, human resource capability, and a student focus among other criteria. The selection panel wanted to see how our organisation embraces innovation and change, how we ensure the sustainability of our operations and our capacity to plan for, and adapt to, future changes in vocational education and training.
Three finalists were then selected to undergo a further assessment on site and to attend the WA Training Awards presentation dinner where the winner would be announced. Royal Life Saving WA was selected alongside Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services and Marr Mooditj Training.
The presentation dinner was held at the Crown Ballroom on Friday 13th September, in a grand night of celebration and recognition. Guests enjoyed a three-course meal and live entertainment from local bands, with the evening’s proceedings led by radio personality Lisa Fernandez.
While Royal Life Saving WA missed out on receiving the top gong as Small Training Provider of the Year, we are honoured to have been awarded as a finalist in the category. Congratulations to the category winner, Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services for a well-earned accolade!
