Annual Report released for 2016-17
Royal Life Saving WA recently released its Annual Report, highlighting its successes throughout the 2016/17 financial year. The report shares case studies from across the organisation, providing an insight into the positive impact our work has had on individuals and the broader West Australian community.
While the year saw an 11% increase in the number of people drowning in WA, great strides have been taken in the areas of toddler drowning prevention, and in ensuring all members of the WA community have access to swimming and water safety education through our Swim and Survive Access and Equity program.
We're determined to see every home pool owner across the state learn vital first aid and CPR skills, and we've collaborated with the Swimming Pool and Spa Association of WA, as well as local councils to work towards this aim.
Read about these successes and our broader goals for the future in the Annual Report, which can be downloaded below.
