Royal Life Saving Society WA farewelled a staff member today, who's heading off on a big adventure. 

Mark Nelli has been with the Society for over 5 years, working in the training department, with a particular focus on traineeships. 

Before becoming a staff member at RLSSWA Mark had a strong lifeguarding and pool supervising background, and has been instrumental in delivering water safety and first aid education. 

He's also been known as the "office joker", always ensuring there were plenty of laughs in the workplace environment.

Mark was presented with a WA Service Order today, to thank him for his work with the Society.

He said "Royal Life has been the best organisation that I have worked for in my considerable working life. Thank you so much for the award and most importantly for the wonderful camaraderie that exists here at Royals."

Mark and his wife Karen will soon be off on an around Australia trip, and we'd like to wish them all the very best.
