Join us as we help tackle suicide

8 February 2018
It’s an exciting time at Royal Life Saving WA, as we gear up to take part in the inaugural Tackling Suicide Celebrity & Community Charity Match on Saturday 24th February.

Some of the celebrities putting on their footy boots include Troy Cook, Peter Bell, Andrew Embley, Jake Edwards, Dale Kickett, Paul Haselby, Shaun McManus, Ashleigh Nelson (Hockeyroo), Simon Orchard (ex Kookaburra), Paddy Sweeney (Channel 9 News), Nadia Mitsopoulos (ABC Radio), Byron Schammer, Craig Treleven and many more. Wildcat champions Greg Hire and Damian Martin will also be in attendance to share their insights with the players.

Royal Life Saving WA will be there to promote our Don’t Drink and Drown program and keep the players hydrated! All the water runners will be sporting our logo, caps and using Don’t Drink and Drown water bottles for both the WAFL and Celebrity match. Come along and enjoy a great event for a great cause!

Taking place at 6pm at Lathlain Park, all proceeds from the event will go towards funding Mental Health Education programs for schools and sporting clubs in the Perth community, which will be provided by Outside The Locker Room and Lifeline WA.

Gates open at 3:30pm. There will be bar facilities, food tents and kids’ activities all afternoon and evening so round up the family, pack your picnic rug, bring your footy and be a part of what promises to be a special day.
