Lifesavers rewarded at Christmas
WA’s most committed trainers were recognised at Royal Life Saving WA’s annual Christmas gathering.
WA Service Orders were awarded to Jules Holliday and Marlis Grosseholz, both of whom have provided a huge number of first-aid courses in their time at Royal Life Saving WA, with great enthusiasm and dedication.
Stephen O’Meara and Rhonda McCullough were awarded the WA Meritorious Service Order for their long-term commitment to Royal Life Saving WA, delivering courses and volunteering their time to the community.
Ann Southall received the WA Long Service Order. Ann delivers more than 50 first-aid courses per year for Royal Life Saving WA and for Scouts WA. Ann is also retiring at the end of this year and she will be sadly missed.
National awards from Royal Life Saving Australia were also presented at the Christmas gathering, rewarding long-term support, commitment and dedication. Raymond Holt received a Fellow Award, while Marion Price and Sallie Watson received Australian Meritorious Service Orders.
Wendy Cole and Maureen Lasisz proudly received Australian Outstanding Service Orders, for their ongoing work with Royal Life Saving WA delivering programs, courses and providing support for more than 20 years.
Royal Life Saving WA’s provision of education and safety messages would not be possible without the commitment of these worthy award recipients.
