Night of nights for pool and spa industry

22 July 2021
The Swimming Pool & Spa Association of Western Australia (SPASA WA) held their 2021 Awards of Excellence on Saturday 17th July at Crown Perth.

The annual event is the swimming pool and spa industry’s night of nights, recognising excellence across dozens of categories including product innovation, marketing campaigns, pool designers and even best pool shop.

Royal Life Saving WA is a proud sponsor of the SPASA WA Awards and works closely with SPASA in consumer pool safety education and safety barrier compliance. Ali Harding, Royal Life Saving WA's Workforce Solutions Business Manager, attended the event and presented two awards to the Gold winners of the categories sponsored by Royal Life Saving WA.

“It was an outstanding event,” said Ali. “Very well organised, with beautiful food and awesome entertainment including the brilliant band Proof. A really great showcase of the talented businesses and providers and the work that they do.”

A&T Metalworks' winning pool safety barrierAli also presented the Best Safety Barrier award to A&T Metalworks for their work on a custom-made curved steel fence that was created to blend beautifully with the client’s landscaping.

The company said “the barrier fence incorporates many curved sections, a gate and a change in height to accommodate the sloping landscape. There is no top rail, and every upright is custom made.” And, importantly, it complies with the Australian Standard and meets state regulations for pool barriers!

Well done to all of the category award winners and runner ups for 2021. We look forward to seeing more great work in this space continue!
