Royal Life Saving set for Perth Royal Show

As we head into the summer months Royal Life Saving Society WA is set to spread the drowning prevention message at this year's Perth Royal Show.  It's the first time the Society has had a stand at the show.

With media reports highlighting recent drowning deaths across Australia, and the latest National Drowning Report finding a 30% increase in toddler drowning deaths during 2014/15, it's vitally important that the community is able to access our drowning prevention strategies and take part in our swimming and water safety education programs.

We will be selling a Royal Life Saving Society show bag for $10 at our stand in the Shopping and Lifestyle Pavilion, along with Royal Life Saving Society duck merchandise, first aid kits and Zoggs swimming products. These products will be available at Royal Show special prices, including 20% off vehicle first aid kits. All funds raised will go towards our education programs and support for families affected by drowning incidents.

We'll also be providing information about our Infant Aquatics, Swim and Survive, first aid and lifeguard courses, which provide community members with the skills they need to ensure safe participation in water-based activities throughout the warmer months.

So, remember to come and say hi to us!  Gate 5 is the best to use for entry near our stand.
