A boost for Junior Lifeguard Clubs

21 December 2015

As part of our commitment to encouraging more children to participate in higher level swimming and aquatic rescue training, the Royal Life Saving Society WA is currently delivering new equipment cages to 20 Junior Lifeguard Clubs in the metro area.

The cages include 2 rescue tubes, 4 lifejackets, 4 modified obstacles and 4 throw ropes, and will assist the clubs in delivering both the Junior Lifeguard Club and Bronze Rescue programs, with the hope of increasing enrolments.

The Junior Lifeguard club program is supported by the Department of Sport and Recreation, and offers a unique aquatic alternative for children over 8 years of age who love the water, want to be challenged and want more than just swimming lessons.

It's ideal for quick learners and those caught between levels and programs, as it not only further develops swimming skills, but also provides the challenge of learning new lifesaving skills.
