The WA State Team has a proud history, taking the top spot at last year's championships and bringing home the gold for the first time in 22 years. Notably, Jake Smith was awarded Male Lifesaver of the Meet, Eleanor Flowers secured first place in the U16 female category, and Jaimee Traeger achieved third place in the U19 female category. All three outstanding athletes return this year, alongside a host of other skilled competitors.

This year, the team welcomes first-time APLSC athletes Jackson Tasker, Monty Stork, Lars Belmont, Edie Jackson, and Lily Lucas, who are eager to make their mark.

Supported by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, the team is under the expert guidance of Team Manager Jen Jones and State Coach Bec Hartman.

The Australian Pool Lifesaving Championships bring together athletes, volunteers, and staff for three days of intense competition, camaraderie, and celebration of the lifesaving movement. Participants compete in various events, from speed challenges in the water to initiative tests and CPR. It's a testament to the enduring importance of rescue skills and the friendships forged through lifesaving.

We look forward to seeing our WA athletes shine and continue their legacy of excellence at the 2025 Championships!
