Young West Aussie becomes a national star

6 August 2018

Royal Life Saving Society WA congratulates 15-year-old TJChong-Sue, who performed exceptionally well at the weekend's 2018 National Pool Rescue Championships.

TJ, who claimed Male Lifesaver of the meet as a member of the WA State Team at the Australian Pool Lifesaving Championships in January this year, claimed four Australian Records at the weekend's Pool Rescue Championships in Adelaide, run by Surf Lifesaving Australia.

TJ trains with the UWA / Westcoast Swim Club and is also a member of the Fremantle Surf Life Saving Club. He's proven himself a rising start to be watched after claiming records in the 200m Obstacle Swim, 100m Manikin Tow, 200m Super Lifesaver and 100m Rescue Medley.

Royal Life Saving WA looks forward to seeing TJ in action again when the State Trials begin in the coming months ahead of next year's Australian Pool Life Saving Championships in Sydney.
