Building safe environments is a major challenge when considering the complexity and popularity of waterways in Western Australia.

 There are;

  • 120 public swimming pools enjoyed by over 10,000,000 patrons each year
  • More than 180,000 home swimming pools
  • 2,000 swimming pools in hotels, motels, clubs and schools
  • Increasing popularity of ornamental lakes and waterways within residential developments
  • 58 rivers in WA stretching over 9,587km
  • 640 intermittent and perennial lakes

With a climate that encourages so much water based activity it's vital that all water environments are assessed and monitored to ensure any risks present are addressed. The Royal Life Saving Society WA provides safety assessment services for the full range of aquatic environments.
