Bronze Medallion Award Sheet - Trainer use

There are two pages to the award sheet, the first must be filled out by the participant, first name, last name, date of birth and signature and marked Competent (C) or Not Yet Competent (NYC), by the trainer.  The second page must have either a tick or a cross for each of the assessable items 1 – 16 and signed by the trainer as per the assessor guide.

The delivery outline is designed to assist trainers with suggested times for each component of the full bronze for a two day course.

Bronze Medallion Requalification Award sheet - Trainer use

Bronze Medallion Assessor Guide - Trainer use

Ensure you are familiar with the assessment activity requirements prior to training. The assessor guide has the completed written assessment as well as what you need to see in each observation. 

Bronze Medallion Learner Guide - Participants use

This is outlines the theory of the Bronze Medallion. It also features the delivery outline so the participants are aware of what will be covered throughout the course. 

Bronze Medallion Participant Guide - Participants use

This is an outline of the observations that will be covered in the course. The participants can use the spaces provided to write notes while the trainer is demonstrating the required tasks. 

Bronze Medallion Theory Examination - Participants use

This is assessment 1. As a trainer you must keep the completed theory exam for a minimum of 6 months. 

Participant Information Form - Participant use

Participants are required to complete this at the start of training. Trainer must ensure a participant information form is handed to RLSSWA along with the award sheet, payment page, participant reassessment form (if used) and the language, literacy and numeracy form (if used). 

Candidate Reassessment Form - Trainer/Participant use

This is used if a participant is not yet competent in an assessment. Two copies are to be filled out, one for RLSSWA head office (to be handed in with the award sheet) and one for the participant to take to the trainer that will be reassessing them.

Language, literacy and numeracy support form - Trainer use

As a trainer if you provide any form of language, literacy and numeracy support this must be documented and handed to RLSSWA on completion of the course. An example of this would be if the participant requires you to verbally ask the questions of the written assessment.

Temporary Certificate

This is a temporary certification proving that the participant has attended the course. The trainer may issue this document to the participant on the completion of the course.

Payment method

RLSSWA has implemented a new online system to make secure credit card payments.

The Pay-online page https://payonline.royallifesavingwa.com.au/ is now available for Community Trainers and allows the user to enter invoice number, billing details, payment details and securely submit the payment.

We recommend all our trainers to start using this payment method. 
As of the 1st of November 2019, we won’t be able to accept any form or email containing credit card data.

 

The award fee is $19.80 per participant.
