Whether you're a parent wanting to learn to save a life, a qualified trainer wanting to teach Heart Beat Club courses, or simply want to know more about the Heart Beat Club, come along to our Open Day on Thursday 28th November 2019 where you'll experience a Heart Beat Club course run by two of our experienced trainers.

Date: Thursday 28th November 2019
Time: 9am - 12pm
Location: Royal Life Saving WA head office - McGillivray Rd, Mt Claremont

You will have the opportunity to see how a Heart Beat Club course is structured and be able to ask questions throughout the course to improve your own knowledge and/or delivery skills.

Best of all, there is no cost involved for this session, it is open to the public and children are welcome to come along, as Heart Beat Club courses are family friendly.

Participation certificates will be issued at the end of the session. Tea and coffee and a light morning tea will be provided to allow you to network with other parents, trainers and teachers.

The aim of the Heart Beat Club is to develop the lifesaving skills of resuscitation and first aid in our community. The Heart Beat Club is a community education initiative of Royal Life Saving WA that aims to increase your skills and confidence in CPR and first aid.

The training session runs for three hours and covers first aid for common child injuries including burns and scalds, choking and drowning and provides information on how to perform child resuscitation or CPR.

After completing the session, if you are interested in delivering this course in your community, the Royal Life Saving WA team will provide information on how to get you started!
