Womens Only Swim and Survive Programs

Multicultural women participating in a swimming lesson

Multicultural Women’s Only Swim and Survive Programs are culturally appropriate women’s only swimming lessons which allow women from different backgrounds to come together and take part in beginner and advanced swimming lessons and water safety classes.

These swimming lessons are held during the school term at Cannington Leisureplex, Riverton Leisureplex, Leisurepark Balga and The Swim School Wangara.

How do I register for the Women's Only Swim and Survive classes?

Registrations must be completed online here.

Are the swimming pools public or private?

Cannington Leisureplex, Leisurepark Balga, South West Sports Centre and South Hedland Aquatic Centre are public facilities. The classes are strictly women's only with female instructors however, the facility is open to the general public. The Swim School Wangara is a smaller, private purpose-built facility. During the women's only swimming lessons it is strictly women only in the facility. The door will be closed and blinds pulled down so members of the public cannot see the classes.

What if I can't make a lesson?

No worries at all! We will see you the following week. If you are unable to finish the term please call Royal Life Saving WA on 9383 8200 and speak to Jen Mickle or Rochelle Graham so we can notify the swimming instructors. Please note there are no refunds.
