EMPLOY TO EMPOWER

Each summer, local government and contracted businesses are challenged to keep pools open and maintain services due to shortages of available staffing. The Royal Life Saving WA Talent Pool program explicitly aims to empower Aboriginal young people to fill this seasonal gap by facilitating real employment opportunities within their own communities as aquatic professionals.

How we help

Talent Pool will establish working relationships and partnerships with local government responsible for a network of aquatic facilities with a commitment to employ Talent Pool participants. The opportunity exists to work alongside management at aquatic facilities to map, plan and secure their staffing needs and create a strategy to engage, equip and employ Indigenous youth. Regions we work within:

  • Pilbara
  • Kimberley
  • Goldfields
  • Gascoyne/Mid-West regions of Western Australia
