Royal Life Saving WA has a range of training courses that will provide you with the skills, knowledge and qualifications to plan, deliver and assess vocational and non-vocational training courses.

There are no prerequisites for this course. The Swim Teacher by Royal Life Saving course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified swimming instructor. Learn how to conduct swimming lessons in a safe, efficient and effective manner.
The SISSS00132 Swimming and Water Safety Teacher skill set is available for free to eligible students under the WA Government Skills Ready program. Students who are not eligible may enrol for a fee of $370.

This course will provide participants with an understanding of the examination and assessment criteria for Lifesaving and Resuscitation awards. The p rerequisites for this training course are:
Current Resuscitation qualification (eg. Resuscitation certificate or oxygen resuscitation certificate);
Current Aquatic Rescue qualification (eg. Bronze Medallion, Swimming teacher rescue award, School teacher aquatic rescue training); and
Current Working With Children Check.

Current Resuscitation / CPR qualification (gained within the last 12 months),

Teach others what you know and train the next generation of pool lifeguards and technical operators. To become a pool lifeguard or pool operations trainer, you need:
At least 3-5 years' experience as a pool lifeguard, preferably as a manager/supervisor at an aquatic facility
LIWA Aquatics accreditation
Currently working in the industry
You'll also need a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or at least be currently working towards one
