These training programs will provide the participant with the skills and knowledge to operate swimming pool plant and equipment associated with various commercially-run aquatic facilities. There are currently two courses on offer to cater for various aquatic facility groups.
SISSS00110 - Aquatic Technical Operator for Group 1 Pools
This course is for participants who are either currently working at a Group 1 Aquatic Facility (usually run by council or commercial business) or seeking employment in these facilities. This course has been developed to meet the requirements set by aquatic recreation industry and complies with Western Australian Department of Health Regulations and Code of Practice. Successful completion of this training course will be accredited with LIWA Aquatics.
If successful you will be awarded the following units of competency:
- SISCAQU005 Develop and implement aquatic facility maintenance procedures
- SISCAQU004 Develop and implement pool water maintenance procedures
- BSBRSK401 Identify risk and apply risk management processes
- SISCAQU001 Test pool water quality
- SISCAQU003 Maintain aquatic facility plant and equipment

Pool Operations for Groups 2, 3 & 4
This course is for participants whose job is to operate a pool in various businesses such as:
- Hotels
- Motels
- Caravan Sites
- School Pools
- Swim Schools
- Gyms
- Water Spray Parks
- Flotation Tanks
- Hydrotherapy Pools
- Lifestyle Villages
- B&Bs and more
If successful you will be awarded the following units of competency:
- SISCAQU001 Test pool water quality
- SISCAQU003 Maintain aquatic facility plant and equipment
- SISCAQU004 Develop and implement pool water maintenance procedures

These training programs have been developed to meet the requirements set out by industry, and they comply with the Western Australian Department of Health Regulations and Code of Practice.
