Water safety education in your classroom
Children are exposed to water in a range of aquatic environments, all with different characteristics and hazardous conditions.
It is essential that children have the skills, knowledge and the right attitude to be safe in, on and around the water. Our Water Smart program includes water safety talks for your classroom!
Option 1 - Face-to-face Water Safety Talk (delivered by a Royal Life Saving WA Trainer)
One of our experienced Trainers will come to your class and deliver an interactive 45 minute classroom workshop covering water safety knowledge and safe rescue techniques.
Option 2 - Teacher-delivered Water Safety Talk (delivered by classroom teacher)
With the health and safety of students in mind and various COVID-19 restrictions in place, we now have an option for teachers to order a copy of our Water Safety Talk presentation which can then be delivered in the classroom by the teacher. The presentation comes with full teacher's notes and also includes a digital certificate of completion which can be printed out for each student.
