Onslow is a coastal town in the Shire of Ashburton (formerly the Shire of West Pilbara) and is a growing resources hub. It is the oldest town in the Shire, with the original township located at the mouth of the Ashburton River, 18km from where it exists today.
Located at the northern end of Australia’s Coral Coast, the town also attracts tourists interested in exploring its offshore coral reefs through by scuba diving and it is also one of the best spots to view the ‘staircase to the moon’ phenomenon.
