Stick A Duck making an impact

3 May 2016

Royal Life Saving Society WA recently implemented a new fundraising initiative, designed to help us assist families affected by fatal and non-fatal drownings in our community through our Community Help Grants program.image of IGA Morley staff with Stick-a-duck pond poster

Stick-A-Duck sees retailers display a duck pond poster at their business and encourage customers to purchase a $2 Stick-A-Duck sticker to place in the pond. The stickers are scanned and simply added to the customer’s bill making this a cashless fundraising alternative for those who don’t have the counter space, or are uncomfortable collecting cash donations through our regular Quackers money boxes or merchandise boxes.

The Stick-A-Duck campaign has been very well received with a number or retail outlets across Perth and regional WA already getting on board. These stores include:

  • The Herdsman - Churchlands
  • Queens Supa IGA – Geraldton
  • IGA - Kiara
  • IGA - Morley
  • Party Plus - Morley
  • Celebrations Liquor - Erskine
  • Donnybrook Newsagency
  • Toyworld – Manjimup

We’d like to thank these businesses who are helping us to ensure support is available to families affected by drowning, as they navigate the physical and emotional turmoil that comes with such an incident.

We're hoping to raise $50,000 towards our Community Help Grants and support services through the Stick-a-Duck campaign this year. If you would like your business to participate in the program please contact us at the link below.
