Swan Active open days a swimmingly good time
The City of Swan leisure centres have all launched a new re-branding and have opened with exciting new facilities, products and club culture.
To celebrate this fact, three Swan Active sites had an open day recently, promoting the new launch, re-branding and facilities.
Royal Life Saving WA attended the Beechboro open day with over 800 attendees, spreading our water safety messages and the diversity of our role in WA. The Royals also fundraised for various drowning prevention initiatives within the community.
The centres were running free Swim & Survive swimming assessments for new customers and all had Royal Life Saving giveaways.
The Swim and Survive program identifies 16 critical stages in a child’s development. The lower stages focus on teaching efficient support and movement in the water. The higher stages include skill and knowledge in safety, survival and rescue, all while developing a strong and effective swimming technique.
It was a tremendously fun day for keen new and old patrons alike, with activities on the day including face painting, a bouncy castle, basketball competitions and plenty of aquatic activities and games.
The Ballajura, Beechboro and Midland centres are all Endorsed Swim Schools running our Swim & Survive, Bronze Rescue and Junior Lifeguard Club programs.
