The sport of Pool Lifesaving

14 May 2015

Royal Life Saving Society WA has an established sport pathway participation program that provides regular opportunities for lifesavers from community to elite levels.

The sport of Pool Lifesaving tests a lifesaver's skills in rescue, accident prevention and emergency care. A key activity is the "Simulated Emergency" which puts an individual or a team of lifesavers against a staged emergency.

Other Pool Lifesaving Events include; Manikin Carry, Manikin Tow, Line Throw and Obstacle Swim.

Pool Lifesaving provides an opportunity to learn or refresh resuscitation and rescue skills, as well as making lifesaving a fun sport.
