A range of services are available to promote toddler drowning prevention in the community. These aim to equip parents and carers of young children with the knowledge and skills to make safe environments for their children and respond appropriately in the event of an emergency.

There are many ways that you can promote toddler drowning prevention strategies and water safety tips to families you work with. Some suggestions are below, however if you have any other ideas or would like more information, please contact us. 

  • Contact us to arrange a short water safety presentation for your playgroup or new parent group
  • Use Keep Watch resources and the information available on our website to guide your own discussion or presentation about water safety with families you work with
  • Host a 'water safety week' with information displays for parents and activities for children
  • Share water safety information through your organisation's social media. The Royal Life Saving Facebook page provides regular updates and water safety tips
  • Share the heartbreaking stories of the Keep Watch parent ambassadors which can be found here
  • Get in touch with your local media. Maybe you're running a parent first aid course, hosting water safety activities or you know a parent who would like to share their story
  • Include a water safety information stall at your next open day, family fun day or other event
  • Contact us for water safety tips to include in your next newsletter
