The Pilbara Spirit Swimming & Lifesaving Carnival sees primary school students from communities throughout the Pilbara visit Port Hedland to participate in a friendly competition and showcase their swimming and lifesaving skills.

The event, which has gained huge popularity across the Pilbara, invites school students in Years 5 and 6 to participate in swimming and pool lifesaving events, with the emphasis on fun whilst developing swimming and water safety skills and knowledge.

This carnival gives Aboriginal children in the Pilbara an opportunity to participate in a carnival that builds on the success of the Swim for Fruit Program and Swim and Survive Program and gives children additional opportunities to practice their lifesaving skills in a fun and engaging environment.

Travel: We understand that many schools will have to travel great distances to participate in the carnival.  Please contact Catherine Buckley at (08) 9383 8200 to discuss accommodation options and reimbursement for travel expenses.

The Pilbara Spirit Swimming & Lifesaving Carnival is proudly supported by Principal Community Partner BHP and the town of Port Hedland.

For all enquiries or to register your interest in the above events, please contact Catherine Buckley on (08) 9383 8200 at our Head Office or Tim Turner on 0418 683 771 at our Pilbara Office, or contact us through the link below.
